Prison of Freedom
The site is in the Taichung City .It is designed as a sumitomo mixed building. At the initial stage of concept, through the logic of architectural case’s detail , the hardware concept model was been made and re-read, and transformed into the structure and space relationship in the building.
The main structure is a structure formed by a 500*30mm steel-plate-columns array, which defines important spaces in the house---music room, yoga room, and leisure room. The steel plate structure integrates door frames and window frames.
Each family member has their own space series, experiencing the space defined by the columns, they get relaxed and interact with each other in these spaces.
