Wye-A coupling of Alishan Forestry Bureau and new urban life
History：Alishan Forestry Area consists three parts——The Railway（The Garage Park and The North Gate Station） ，the Village （The Hinoki Village ）and the Industry（The Chiayi Sawmill area）. These parts clearly show the texture of Forestry Indunstry that developed during the Japanese Colonial Rule. But with the fading of Alishan Forestry, these parts gradually separated from each other and the connection are no longer existed.
Urbanism：With the development and transformation of The old Forestry Area ，the new urban facilities. Arise. Firstly, behind the Alishan Forestry Area, there are culture facilities (such as Chayi Culture Center, Chayi Museum and The installation "Song of the Forest")and the SHOWTIME Shopping Center. Secondly，the Alishan Forestry Area is surrounded by broad traffic lane , which increase the separation between the three parts of old Forestry Area.
Concept：In order to understand the Alishan Forestry Area， I think it‘s important to understand the three parts. In order to reconnect these parts, I use the shape of wye as a bridge to bring in the pedestrian flow and develop new programs .
Tradition：To respond the history of Alishan Forestry Area， I extract the shape of The Garage and the the Village and widly used in my plan and roof construction.
