The cyber world: Media & Education center_People meet by chance
Our project was begun with street observation. I analysis two streets in Taiwan and one historical street. Finally, I select the Omotesandō in Japan to transform, and insert some street parts of the Zhongyuan Night Market.
These are my design points. First, I keep the dominance of the Meiji Jingu in the surrounding. Second, I transform the axiality of the Omotesandō to the light well, which penetrate the building such as the road of god. In addition, the light well is an anchor of the space experience.
Pedestrian circulation is connected by anchored objects. The circulation is built around the light well, and the distance can’t be felt. People meet by chance. The power that is converged in slender space experience will be released in the top floor, which is an extensive space.
Besides, in the east, people in Calligraphy Greenway are taken by the sunken plaza on the ground floor. The west of the project and the adjacent houses form an irregular street experience. In addition, this is a shortcut from the south to the north. The oblique ramp in the middle as if it penetrates the building structure which strengthens the leading status.
