de-intent -兩個空間的距離-
Space is divided by boundaries. A boundary defines the distance between two spaces, and some boundaries produce a sequence of spaces. The distance is psychological, physical and visual. From this concept, we define space, think about “de-intent”, and consider how the viewer sees the space and how the viewer sees the boundaries between spaces.
My design base is located in the west district of Taichung, next to Cao Wu Road. The program I set up is a small collection of three families. My design is centered around a passage through the site, and I think about how the space expands from there, and the relationship between the public passage and the private homes, and the relationship between the families. My design focuses on how the viewer perceives the space in terms of the distance and scale of the architectural elements. My intention is to make spaces that allow people to think about the distance between two spaces.
