The National Monument was built in memory of the former president Chiang, Kai-shek. Because the construction of the National Monument was to celebrate the supreme power and accomplishments of the president, we have begun to rethink what it stands for in modern democratic society.
Consequently, it brought variable perspectives to the discussion. Within all the different opinions including the transformation of the monument and the placement of the statue, mine is to keep both the existing architecture and the statue. Additionally, I added some above-ground-path into the park so that residents nearby can use it daily as a shortcut when commuting and as a cycling path to exercise.
